Following Scottish Government advice, ARC is going to be open for private lessons only for riding school clients from Monday 1st June until we reach Stage 5 in our own internal Covid policy (available as a video on our public Facebook page) in line with government guidance.  Unfortunately at this time we are unable to take any riders who had not ridden at ARC prior to lock down.   If you would like to book a private lesson, please contact us either through this website or on 01224 733111 and please ensure you have read our Covid Information sheet.

STAGE 2 COACH TRAINING

Sally is running a Stage 2 Coach training session on Saturday 10th October from 1.30pm to 5.00pm. The session will cover coaching a group lesson, lunge lesson, stable management session and lead rein lesson. We will have guinea pig riders for each session and it will be mainly practical – attendees will have the opportunity to coach a session and then we will discuss them all afterwards. The session is ideal for anyone who is thinking of sitting coach assessments in the future, no prior coaching experience is required. Numbers are limited to ensure enough attention to each attendee. We can also accept attendees who cannot come in person who want to watch on StarLeaf, our video conferencing software, just get in touch if you would like to sign up.

Places are £80 per person and you can check availability and book your place on the training session by emailing Ali at lessons@aberdeenridingclub.com

WALKIES

We have had quite a few enquiries about our Walkies sessions recently and wanted to update everyone as to why these have not yet restarted. We do plan to reintroduce these sessions in the not too distant future, however we identified Walkies as an activity where social distancing is not possible and can only resume when it is safe for both our customers and our staff to do so. We know lots of you are eager to get booked in for walkies again and we will keep you updated as to when this will be.

RUGS

As we enter into the colder months, please remember to put our rugs on over our tack when returning us to our stable after a lesson. The temperature is dropping and we can get a bit cold standing waiting for our next rider, especially for those of us

that have been clipped. If you need a hand to get the rug back on, just let a member of staff know and they’ll be happy to help.

BLOCK BOOKING CARDS

We picked up a new batch of block booking cards from the printers last week and thought this would be a good opportunity to remind everyone that if you regularly attend a group lesson, you can take advantage of our block booking discounts.

You can purchase a block of 5, 10 or 20 lessons for both the half hour and hour group lessons. Below is a note of the costs:

½ Hour Groups:

  • 5 Lesson Card – £105.00
  • 10 Lesson Card – £205.00
  • 20 Lesson Card – £400.00

1 Hour Groups:

  • 5 Lesson Card – £135.00
  • 10 Lesson Card – £265.00
  • 20 Lesson Card – £520.00

If you would like to purchase a block booking card you can do so either over the phone or by visiting reception when you sign in for your next lesson.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Further congratulations to our brilliant staff! This time we congratulate Ellis for passing the final section of her Stage 1 Care assessment.

We also say a big well done to Liam for passing the resit section of his first coaching assessment, meaning he is now a qualified Stage 2 Coach! Liam also sat his Stage 3 Care assessment last month and achieved a pass in most sections, with just a couple of units to resit.  A busy month for Liam as he also passed his driving test!

Our final congratulations goes to Rhona, who also sat her Stage 3 Care last month passing all sections!

Bye for Now!
