May Newsletter

Prices:

£50.00 per day, if not attending the full course
£160.00 for the full course (all 4 days)

We are happy if riders would like to book for more than one week, however we will initially take one course booking per rider to try and accommodate all those interested in the stable management. If you would be interested in booking the second course, Ali can add you to the list to be contacted should there still be spaces available after the initial bookings rush – just let her know when you call to book on Monday 10th May.

If we have enough demand, we will put on an advanced course but are currently leaving a couple of weeks free with no courses so that we can offer plenty of private lessons and some Pony Stars sessions.

MEMBERSHIP

As detailed in the last newsletter, membership fees are due to be paid by 1st June so members can pay at any point in May (you still get a full year from 1st June regardless of payment date).

As detailed previously, as well as providing a full month free (by extending to 1st June) we are also giving a 3-month discount for our members who were loyal and supported the club during the last difficult year with lockdown. Therefore, if you were a full member on 1st March 2021, the rates are:

Single Membership – £97.50
Family Membership – £180.00

Standard membership prices for new members or for those who re-join after first of June are:

Single Membership – £130.00
Family Membership – £240.00

Membership forms are available now from reception or electronically by email (lessons@aberdeenridingclub.com). Please remember we need a completed new full membership form with payment and if you are unsure whether you qualify for the discounted rate, Ali can advise you.

For those who wish to pay their membership by bank transfer, the account details are the same as lesson/training payments – please don’t combine your membership payment with lessons payments – do one payment for membership and then another for any lessons you are due as we need to separate membership figures off from lesson sales for our accounts so separate payments make it much easier for us.

AGM

We are going to be holding our AGM in August this year and hope that more of our members than normal can attend as we will be offering the option to join by video call. As a member’s club, we hold an AGM to update members on the progress of the club and what we have achieved during the year, as well as a brief summary of the accounts. This AGM covers the accounting period to year end 30th June 2020 – our AGMs as standard are around 9 months after year end as we wait until the accounts are completed and filed at Companies House and we have delayed a bit this year so that we have eased out of lockdown and everyone has had a chance to get back riding again. We will detail the date and time of the AGM in the next newsletter, but it would be great to see a few members at it. We are in the middle of doing quite a bit of future planning for the club (which members will be asked for input on relatively soon) so it’s a great chance to catch up with what is going on at the club and meet the team behind the club.

Thanks
