J&l Fraser & Son
J&L Fraser & Son is a family run farming business located in Maryculter. We have an established fold of Highland cattle, which is where our main passion lies but we do also keep other pedigree and cross bred cattle along with sheep. The Tilbouries Fold of Highland Cattle was established in 1992 and ever since then our interest in them has grown and we enjoy sharing the breed with the public when we show them at agricultural shows in the area.

Stirlingshire Saddle Fitters
Stirlingshire Saddle Fitters was launched on 20th September 2010 by Louise Smith-Kibaris and Alene Telfer who cover most of Scotland and some of Northern England.
With nearly 25 years’ experience each they know it is a very important “horse welfare” issue and strive to provide a wide service of fitting and checking new and existing saddles.
A correctly fitting saddle can make night and day difference to a horses’ behaviour and comfort, changing the way it moves and performs and in some extreme cases even their behaviour on the ground and in the stable.
Aberdeen Riding Club has always been aware of this and it is a foremost concern that all of the school horses are fitted with their own saddles that are checked regularly. Stirlingshire Saddle Fitters are delighted to sponsor this establishment that recognises such a thing and ensures an enjoyable experience for all that attend.

Jason Sim Farrier
Jason Sim has been shoeing the liveries and riding school horses at ARC for around 10 years now and is an Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers. Jason has always been a great support to the club, both through his excellent shoeing and by sponsoring classes at our shows and sponsoring a stable during our big move. Jason has a particular interest in the biomechanics of the horses movement and how shoeing relates and helps this. He is an experienced farrier who also importantly trains apprentice farriers through to their Diploma qualification.
Our school horses are mostly shod in front only, but a few are shod all round and some wear specific shoes for soundness issues they have had historically and Jason is a huge asset in these situations working with the vet to come up with the best foot management programme for the horse, be it standard shoes, imprints or remedial shoes.

The Association of American Women of Aberdeen (AWA) was founded in February 1985. The primary purpose of this organisation today is to help expatriates to adapt to their new environment, integrate into the expat community in the Aberdeen area by providing social and cultural contacts, and integrate into the local community by supporting a local charity. We have a diverse group, primarily of American and Canadian expatriates, but also expatriates from other countries, including Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, and even as far as South America and Australia. We are women from all walks of life, united in our interest to foster and develop a fun, welcoming environment for newcomers and expatriates in Scotland.
Each year AWA members vote to select a charity of choice from among a shortlist nominated by its members. AWA members then spend the following year volunteering for and fundraising on behalf of the selected charity. In addition to selecting one main charity to sponsor, the AWA also make donations each year to each of the runner-up shortlisted charities as well as other local groups by request. When we have a member involved in a local organisation seeking a donation, we try to honour that request as it is important to us to see our members embracing and being involved in the local community. We have several members and their families who really enjoy riding with Aberdeen Riding Club and were very excited about having a brand-new riding facility being built in Aberdeenshire that makes riding accessible for so many people. That is why we were more than happy to sponsor a stable at the new facilities of Aberdeen Riding Club.
