DRESSAGE COMPETITION

The members committee have organised a dressage competition for riding school members which is taking place on Friday 8th October. This was organised after feedback in our members survey that many members would like to get the opportunity to take part in internal competitions, so we are running the dressage one as a trial to see how it goes and how popular it is. Spectators are welcome if you would like to come along and watch and see what happens for if you want to take part in a future one!

WINTER TRAINING

We have a lot of Winter training on through October, mainly on a Friday and a Saturday night. The training sessions are great in that they offer lots of flexibility – you can attend in person, or via live video call (so you can ask questions e.t.c.) or you can request a recording of them if you can’t make the time, they are on at. The Winter training programme all also counts towards Stable Management hours for those of you who need to do some more stable management after assessments. All the training dates are listed on both our public Facebook page and the closed Members Facebook page, plus a flyer is available from reception with dates/topics and a list is on the whiteboard in the coffee area.

ASSESSMENTS

A huge well done to everyone who was assessed in their group lessons over the last fortnight – we were all very impressed with the standard of riding and you are all progressing really well. There weren’t many riders who needed to move lesson after assessment and the ones who did have now been moved to the correct standard of class.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Just a reminder to everyone of our cancellation policy. As you are all aware, lessons are paid on booking, in advance either by block booking card, standing order or paying week by week. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, our policy is that you lose your payment as we will be unable to fill that space and often the horses have been caught in, groomed and tacked up e.t.c. for your session.

We are also keen to ensure that everyone keeps a responsible attitude to Covid so are happy to carry forward a credit (even within 24 hours) if someone has to cancel due to being told to self-isolate, or because they have tested positive for Covid. If you are cancelling within 24 hours due to Covid related reasons, we may ask you to provide a screenshot of your test result or track and trace isolation advice (with any sensitive information blanked out) in order that we can both keep a record at our end, but also ensure nobody takes advantage of the Covid policy.

PONY STARS

Our Pony Stars sessions are proving very popular on a Monday at 4.30p.m and a Saturday at 10.30am and still have a couple of spaces on them so if you’d like your junior rider (under 12) to take part, then just give Ali an email or a ring.

Have a great October!
