Hi everyone! Gemima here – I am writing this month’s newsletter as I wanted to show off my fancy new haircut! Lindsay (one of our liveries) has very kindly given me and my pals our winter clip so we don’t get too warm and sweaty during lessons.
COVID UPDATE
The latest restrictions announced on 22nd September by both the UK Prime Minister and Scottish First Minister do not affect our facility or provision of riding lessons.
Riding lessons are regulated sport and covered arenas for equestrian use were approved for use long before less well ventilated, air conditioned sports facilities. We have continued to cap our group lesson numbers since lockdown (lower than guidelines permit) so at this time, there are no changes needed there either.
The one restriction we would like to remind members to adhere to is ‘the rule of 6’. If you are having a coffee or spectating as opposed to taking part in a lesson (e.g. parent or someone who has finished a lesson and is enjoying a coffee) the rule of 6 applies. So, strict social distancing please and please refrain from gathering in groups of more than 2 households on the yard even with social distancing in place.
We continue with our Covid policy on cancellations – if you are self-isolating or have been contacted by track/trace and
advised to self-isolate, or if you have any Covid symptoms then please just let us know and we will carry your payment forward to your next session.
We expect that the Covid landscape and therefore guidelines will change at relatively short notice in the coming weeks but we will as always keep you updated. We are regularly updating members via our private members Facebook group, through our monthly newsletters and will contact members directly if any new restrictions impact on your upcoming bookings.
WELL DONE LAURA!
Laura took a trip this weekend to compete at the British Dressage Quest Regional Finals in Kilmarnock. She and Tayto rode a great dressage test scoring 68% and won their class. A huge well done to Laura – the 2020 MyQuest Novice Regional Champion!
